Official Rules

These Official Rules govern the Gridzy Daily Best Board contest (the "Contest") offered by Wrad Games LLC d/b/a Gridzy Sports ("Sponsor," "we," "us") on the Gridzy app and website at gridzysports.com. The Contest is also subject to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; if those and these Official Rules conflict on a Contest-specific point, these Official Rules control. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase or payment of any kind will not increase your chances of winning.

1. Contest overview

Each calendar day (Eastern Time), Gridzy runs the Daily Best Board promotion across every league offered in the app that day. The leagues on offer change with the sports calendar — as of this update they are MLB, WNBA, professional tennis, golf, and soccer, each while its season or tournament is running — and the app shows which are available on a given day. Players build a "board" of picks against that day's games in one of the available leagues and are scored against what actually happens. The single player with the best-scoring board that day, across every participating league combined and ranked per the rules below, wins that day's prize.

2. Eligibility

Open only to individuals who are (a) at least 18 years old at time of entry, and (b) legal residents of the United States and its states, excluding U.S. territories and possessions, at time of entry. Employees, contractors, and household members of Sponsor, and on-shift staff of a venue hosting a Gridzy game night, are not eligible to win a prize in a Contest tied to that venue's event. Void where prohibited by law. Entry constitutes agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest, except as otherwise required by law.

3. How to enter

Create a free Gridzy account, build a board of picks for an available league and day, answer that league's required tiebreaker question, and submit. No purchase, payment, or fee of any kind is required to enter or to be eligible to win. Submitting a board through the Service is the only way to enter; Sponsor does not offer a mail-in or alternative free entry method because entry already requires no purchase.

Entries into this Contest are limited as follows, counted over the boards you submit for a given day's slate:

  • Up to 2 boards per contest (a single league's single-day leaderboard).
  • Up to 3 boards per league per day, across that league's contests.
  • Up to 5 boards total per day, across all participating leagues combined.

Only your best-scoring board (by points, Section 4) counts toward a contest's leaderboard and toward the daily prize; submitting more boards within the caps above does not stack your chances beyond that. These caps apply to this free-to-enter Contest and are separate from any paid game mode Gridzy may also offer, and separate from venue-hosted game nights, which have their own entry limit set by the venue.

Voided picks and postponed games

A pick whose player is ruled out before the game starts is swapped for a similar pick from the same game; a pick that never plays is voided — it neither hits nor misses, and the rest of the board still counts. A postponed or cancelled game voids every square on it. No prize is paid on a board with no scored square.

4. How a winner is determined

There is no element of chance in how a winner is determined. Each board is scored solely on your skill in picking outcomes correctly against the games it covers, on a points scale with a maximum of 333 points:

  • Each correct pick scores by its difficulty tier, shown before you pick: 6 points (Easy), 9 (Medium), or 12 (Hard).
  • Each completed line — a full row, column, or diagonal of correct picks — scores 30 points.
  • A correct Big Pick (the board's center, headline pick) scores 4 bonus points.
  • All four corner picks correct scores 8 bonus points.
  • A pick that cannot be graded (for example, the player did not play or the game was not completed) scores zero and cannot complete a line; the rest of the board is scored normally.

League leaderboards. Within a league's daily contest, boards are ranked by points. If two or more players are tied on points, the tie is broken by whoever came closest to the correct numeric answer to that league's tiebreaker question, which you answer when you submit (for example, total runs in your Big Pick game for MLB, or your Big Pick player's round score for golf). Players still tied after the tiebreaker share the placement.

The daily prize. The day's prize (Section 5) goes to the highest-points board of the day across every participating league combined. Because tiebreaker questions differ by league, they are not used to compare boards across leagues: if two or more players' best boards are tied on points for the day, they are deemed co-winners and split that day's prize equally.

5. Prizes

The prize for the daily Contest is $10.00, awarded winner-take-all to the single highest-points board across all participating leagues that day.

Exactly one prize is awarded per day, across all participating leagues combined — not one prize per league per day, and there is no additional prize tier based on how many players enter. League leaderboards are published for standing and do not carry separate cash prizes. If two or more players are tied for the day's highest-points board under Section 4, they are deemed co-winners and split that day's prize equally.

Approximate retail value of the prize equals its cash amount. No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries that day and each entrant's skill.

6. Winner notification and prize delivery

The day's winner is determined automatically once the last of that day's contests settles — after its games are final and grading, including a short stat-correction delay, completes. The prize is credited automatically to the winner's in-app balance; there is no claim step, no deadline to claim, and nothing a winner must do to receive it. The credit appears in the app on the day's leaderboard and in the winner's balance and transaction history. We do not currently send winner notifications by email.

In-app balances are not yet withdrawable from within the app. To receive a cash payout of your balance, email [email protected] from the address on your account; we may ask for a payment-app handle or other delivery details and, where Section 7 applies, tax information before paying.

7. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes on their prize. Prizes at or above the IRS reporting threshold may require tax information (such as a completed IRS Form W-9) before payment, and Sponsor may report such winnings to tax authorities as the law requires. Sponsor does not collect tax forms inside the app; if a payout requires one, Sponsor will contact the winner.

8. Publicity

By entering, you agree that Sponsor may display your username, display name, score, and contest placement on public leaderboards within the Service and, for venue-hosted game nights, on screens at the venue, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Except as stated in this section, entering does not require you to grant Sponsor any right to use your name, image, or likeness for advertising or promotional purposes without your separate consent.

9. Disqualification

Sponsor may disqualify any entry or player it reasonably believes was obtained through the prohibited conduct described in our Terms of Service — including multiple-account play, VPN or location spoofing, automation, or collusion between players — or that otherwise violates these Official Rules. Sponsor may withhold or reclaim a prize already awarded if it later determines the winning entry was ineligible. Sponsor's decisions on eligibility, scoring, and disqualification are final, except as otherwise required by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sponsor is not responsible for: technical failures of any kind, including malfunctions of any network, hardware, or software; late, lost, misdirected, or garbled entries; or errors in game data, statistics, or results supplied by third-party sports data providers. Sponsor's total liability to any entrant arising out of the Contest will not exceed the value of the prize for which that entrant was eligible. See our Terms of Service for the general limitation of liability that also applies to your use of the Service.

11. Governing law

This Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Any provision of these Official Rules found unenforceable will be severed without affecting the enforceability of the remaining provisions.

12. Winners list

For the name of the winner of a specific day's Contest, send a self-addressed request by email to [email protected] within 90 days of that Contest's date, specifying the league and date requested.
