Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Wrad Games LLC d/b/a Gridzy Sports ("Gridzy," "we," "us") governing your use of the Gridzy website and app at gridzysports.com (the "Service"). By creating an account, joining a venue game as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to create an account or enter a contest. Some venues may set a higher minimum age for in-person play; where they do, the venue's minimum age controls. The Service is void where prohibited by law — if contests or prize play of this kind are restricted where you live, you may not enter them. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements. We do not currently verify age or location beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy; entering a contest while ineligible is a violation of these Terms and grounds for disqualification under our Official Rules.

2. Your account

  • One account per person. You may hold only one Gridzy account. Creating or using more than one account — including to work around entry caps, evade a suspension, or gain an unfair advantage in a contest — is prohibited and may result in disqualification of the related entries and suspension of every account involved.
  • Accuracy. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep it current, including for any Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple identity you connect.
  • Security. You are responsible for the activity on your account, including picks made and boards submitted from it. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
  • Venue guest play. Some venue game nights let you play without a full account, tied to your device instead of an email and password (see "Venue mode" below and our Privacy Policy). These Terms apply to guest play the same as to a registered account.

3. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:

  • Create or use more than one account, or use another person's account without permission.
  • Use a VPN, proxy, spoofed location, or any other method to misrepresent your location for eligibility purposes.
  • Use a bot, script, scraper, or other automated means to build boards, submit entries, or otherwise interact with the Service. Picks and entries must reflect a human decision.
  • Collude with another player, share account access, or otherwise coordinate entries to gain an unfair advantage in a contest or leaderboard.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as permitted by law.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms or our Official Rules.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
  • Upload or transmit anything that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful.

We may investigate suspected violations and, if we determine one occurred, take any of the actions described in "Suspension and termination" below, including voiding affected entries and withholding associated prizes.

4. Contests and Official Rules

Every contest, board, and leaderboard on the Service is governed by our Official Rules in addition to these Terms. The Official Rules cover how to enter, entry limits, how winners are determined, prize amounts, and the claim process. If the Official Rules and these Terms conflict on a contest-specific point, the Official Rules control for that contest.

Boards, picks, scores, and results are final once a contest settles, subject to the correction and dispute process described in our Official Rules. We may cancel, void, or reschedule a contest — in whole or for individual entries — for reasons including a cancelled or postponed game, a data or scoring error, suspected abuse, or a technical failure.

Void picks and refunds. A single pick is voided when it cannot be graded — for example the player did not play, the game was cancelled or not completed within the league's grading window, or the data provider marks the market refunded. A void pick scores zero and cannot complete a line; the rest of the board is scored normally. For free-to-enter contests (which is every daily contest today) there is no entry fee and nothing to refund. Where a paid entry mode is offered: a paid Multiplier-mode entry with one or more void picks whose payout is less than its entry fee has the difference credited as promotional credit when it is graded, and a paid Friends-mode entry with any void pick has its full entry fee credited as promotional credit when its contest settles, so a void never leaves you worse off than your entry fee. If we void an entire contest, its entries are not scored and any entry fee paid for it will be addressed as described in our Official Rules.

5. Prizes and promotional credit

From time to time the Service offers cash prizes, promotional credit, or other incentives tied to gameplay — for example, a leaderboard prize on a daily contest, or a bonus credited for completing a specific board pattern. What is currently live, and the exact terms of each, are described in our Official Rules and in the Service itself at the time you play; this section describes how such prizes and credit work in general.

  • Cash prizes are credited to your in-app balance and, unless we say otherwise, are subject to the tax handling described in "Taxes" below.
  • Promotional credit (including any bonus credited for a specific in-board achievement) is non-withdrawable — it can be used for gameplay on the Service but is not redeemable for cash — unless we state otherwise for a specific promotion. For example, when paid Multiplier-mode play is offered, a paid Multiplier entry whose four corner picks all hit is credited a $5.00 "4 Corners" bonus as promotional credit; that bonus is not offered on free entries or Friends-mode entries.
  • We may change, suspend, or discontinue any prize or promotional-credit program at any time, including for contests that have not yet settled, except where doing so would take away a prize already earned under the rules in effect when you entered.

6. Taxes

You are solely responsible for any taxes owed on prizes or other value you receive through the Service. Prizes at or above the IRS reporting threshold may require tax information (such as a completed Form W-9) before payment, and we may report such winnings to tax authorities. We do not collect tax forms inside the app; if a payout requires one, we will contact you. See our Official Rules for contest-specific details.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, and withhold or claw back any prize or credit, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or our Official Rules, engaged in the prohibited conduct described above, or otherwise misused the Service. Where practical we will tell you why. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account yourself from Profile → Danger Zone, or ask us to close it by emailing [email protected]; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after deletion.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including prohibited conduct, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply after your account is closed.

8. Intellectual property and user content

The Service, including its design, code, graphics, and the Gridzy name and logo, belongs to Wrad Games LLC d/b/a Gridzy Sports or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the Service normally.

You keep ownership of any content you submit to the Service, such as a display name, a group name, or a support message. By submitting content you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce it as needed to operate and promote the Service — for example, showing your username on a leaderboard or a venue screen, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Venue mode

Some contests run in person at a bar or venue partner ("venue mode"). Venue mode has a few differences from the rest of the Service:

  • You may play as a guest, tied to your device rather than a full account, as described above.
  • Venue entries are free to play and are limited to the number of entries the venue sets for that night, shown on the venue's game screen.
  • Any prize offered in a venue contest is supplied and fulfilled by the venue, not by Gridzy. Gridzy determines the winner using the same scoring and tiebreaker rules as our other opinion contests, but the venue is responsible for the prize itself, how it is claimed, and any terms the venue attaches to it. Direct prize-claim questions for a specific venue night to that venue's staff.
  • A venue may set its own house rules for conduct on its premises during a game night, in addition to these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any statistic, score, or result displayed will always be accurate or delivered in real time — box scores and player statistics come from third-party sports data providers we do not control.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRAD GAMES LLC D/B/A GRIDZY SPORTS AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT OF ANY PRIZE OR CREDIT AT ISSUE IN THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, as stated above. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you and Gridzy each consent to personal jurisdiction there. This is a non-exclusive venue — it does not prevent a dispute from being brought in another court where the law otherwise allows it.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will also notify you in the app or by email to the address on your account before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service and, if you wish, close your account.

14. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Official Rules, are the entire agreement between you and Gridzy regarding the Service.
